These terms apply to skooldash.com and to the Skooldash system, websites and apps (together, "the service"). Anyone using this website agrees to the website terms below. A preschool that subscribes ("the school", "you") also agrees to the rest. If your school signs a separate agreement or quotation with us, that agreement wins where the two differ.
This website
- You may read and share this website for your own information. Please do not copy its design, words or pictures for another product.
- Prices, features and offers on the website can change. What applies to your school is what we confirm to you when you subscribe.
- Skoo, the AI assistant on this site, answers from what the website says, and it can make mistakes. What our team confirms in writing is what counts.
- Do not try to break, overload or misuse the website, its forms or Skoo.
Demo accounts
If we give you a demo account, it is for trying Skooldash only. It holds made-up data, other people may see what is in it, and it can be reset at any time. Please do not enter real personal data into a demo.
Subscribing
- A subscription starts when we confirm it and set up your school's system.
- Fees are per active pupil per month, billed once a year in advance, at the plan and price we confirm to you.
- Your subscription covers an agreed number of active pupils (your quota) and branches. To go beyond them, raise your subscription; the system can stop pupils being activated, or branches being added, beyond the agreed numbers.
- We remind you before your subscription ends. If it ends without renewal, a grace period follows (14 days, unless we agree otherwise). After the grace period, signing in to the system and the apps can be stopped until you renew. Your data is kept as described in "Your school's data" below.
- Work beyond the standard service, such as customisation, data migration or on-site training, is quoted separately.
- Fees already paid are not refundable for the period they cover, unless the law requires it or we agree otherwise in writing.
Your school's responsibilities
- Keep sign-in details safe, give accounts only to the right people, and close accounts that are no longer needed.
- Collect and record personal data lawfully. Your school is responsible for the data it enters, for telling parents, guardians and staff how it is used, and for getting their consent where the PDPA requires it.
- Keep the information in the system accurate, and check important records, such as fees, receipts and report cards, before you rely on them or share them.
- Keep your own copies of any records the law requires your school to keep.
- Use the service only to run your preschool, and in line with the law. Do not upload anything unlawful or harmful, or anything you have no right to use.
- Where you use your own payment, SMS or WhatsApp provider, you set it up and pay for it, and its own terms apply.
Our responsibilities
- We provide the service with reasonable care and skill, and keep it secure as our Privacy Policy describes.
- We use your school's data only to provide the service and as you instruct, and we keep it confidential.
- We help your team through WhatsApp, online meetings and tutorial videos.
- Where we can, we tell you in advance about planned maintenance that may interrupt the service.
Your school's data
- Your school's data belongs to your school. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
- You can ask for a copy of your data at any time while you subscribe, and for up to 90 days after your subscription ends. After that we delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Skoo and other AI features
AI features such as Skoo help you find information quickly, but their answers can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before acting on them. They are not professional, medical or legal advice.
The apps
The Parent App and the Teacher App are part of the service. They are downloaded from Google Play or the App Store, whose own terms also apply. Some features need permission on the phone, such as notifications, or the camera to scan QR codes.
Availability
We work to keep the service available at all times, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. Problems caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as internet or power failures or an outage at a provider, are not a breach of these terms.
Suspension and ending
- You can end your subscription by not renewing it, or by telling us in writing.
- We may suspend or end access if fees remain unpaid after the grace period, if these terms are seriously broken, or if the service is used unlawfully or in a way that puts others at risk. Where we can, we will warn you first and give you time to put things right.
- When the service ends, these terms still apply to your data, to fees owed, to liability and to the law that governs them.
Intellectual property
Skooldash, including its software, apps, design and content, belongs to us and our licensors. Your subscription lets your school use it while you subscribe; it does not transfer ownership. Your school keeps all rights in its own data and content, and lets us use them only to provide the service.
Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit or business.
- Our total liability to your school for all claims arising in any 12 months is limited to the fees your school paid us for those 12 months.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will tell subscribing schools about significant changes before they take effect; using the service after that means you accept them. The date at the top shows when the terms last changed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. If a dispute cannot be settled by talking it through, it will be decided by the courts of Malaysia.
